OK, so I don't have the car you want. You may or may not want to locate it through my Locating Service, so it's placed here for starters. When someone responds, both parties are contacted and the rest is up to you. This is a small fee service so don't be shy; tell me what you're looking for. I only ask to be compensated for my time in the form of a customary "Bird Dog" or Finder's Fee w/ the posting fee deducted should a transaction take place.

c.1950 JBM [James Boothby Motors] "Special" Race Car
Seeking Info, Parts/Vendors & Restoration Services for existing vehicle Most importantly, need a Jaguar Inline 6 cylinder 2.5 Litre OHV engine! We are looking for recommendations on restorers & sourcing parts for re-creating the original from the incomplete vehicle found in a British garage. This is a one-off model of only approximately 10 manufactured & built specifically for its original owner by the small British car maker - James Boothby Motors. They were in existence from 1947 -1950 sourcing used/reconditioned parts to avoid the very expensive new car purchase tax in Britain. A few, such as this model were produced expressly for racing in the “Special” classes, but had the unique ability to be used as everyday touring cars also as per customer testimony. The original body (F.I.A. compliant) is intact & we are looking for original or reproduction parts & a restoration facility (ideally in the Los Angeles area) to complete the build, matching the period photos & specs of the car. The finished vehicle is slated for display or possibly being entered into historic/preservation/racing show classes. The end product will be a functioning re-creation of the original utilizing as many correct parts as possible, although we fully realize that an “exact” version is unrealistic as many specs, photos & parts are no longer available. We are also aware of the amount of time, effort & expense that a project such as this can accrue. We can provide some history of its ownership, the known build list, period photos & 102 detailed photos of the vehicle in its present state are below. Any interest or help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Complete vehicle in early 1950's
In its present state w/ replacement 3.4L engine replacing original 2.5L along w/ other mods & deletions.
